Excel file championship 12 teams

Question

Hello,

I want to organize a football championship with 12 teams and I would like to manage everything using an Excel file! But there's a small problem, I don't have a very good grasp of Excel and I'm struggling with all these formulas!
I've looked a lot online but I can only find championships with 8, 10, 16, or 20 teams!
Could someone help me?
I'm not necessarily asking for someone to do the work for me because I'm willing to learn, but you'll have to explain things to me well!!!

Attached (I hope) is a file for soccer with 12 teams. All you have to do is enter the matches and results by matchday, and the standings will update automatically.

Good evening,

take a look here and choose the spreadsheet for football and rugby. There are a few changes to make, but it seems pretty good to me. You have the choice between groups of 3 or 4, but I recommend groups of 4, you’ll have fewer changes to make.
