Hi,
The Ethernet cable is connected but I don't have internet... In the settings, I have the IP address automatically assigned by Mac OS X: 169.254.xx.xx. It's strange because my other PCs (running Windows) are well connected to my router...
OS: Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard (It's old, but I use it because I have apps that only work on 10.5 and also I have Leopard Rebirth which allows PowerPC/PowerBook and Mac/MacBook under 10.5.8 to keep running and have the macOS High Sierra theme.)

Always indicate your system configuration completely - exact computer model, exact OS version.

Hello and thank you for responding. I tried the workaround but it didn't change anything about my problem, knowing that the tutorial is for those connecting via WIFI while I am connected via Ethernet (local cable). I still tried adapting the WIFI tutorial for Ethernet, but that didn't change anything. I still have this: IP address automatically assigned (by Mac OS X).
