Good evening everyone,
I would like to ask for your help.
I would like to use my laptop that picks up Wi-Fi as a router for my desktop PC that does not have a Wi-Fi key,
until now I used my mobile phone as a router with a simple USB until I had the bright idea to jump into the water with my phone...
Unfortunately, all the tutorials on the internet haven't helped me...
I have an Ethernet cable at my disposal
Thank you for your help!

Hello,
I suggest you try the following:
Position your laptop next to the desktop, and check that it connects to the internet and that the speed is acceptable.
If that's the case, the easiest thing for you will be to buy a USB Wi-Fi dongle (you can find them for under €20 in any supermarket), install it on your desktop, and that’s the end of the hassle. If your desktop doesn't have a USB port, you can use an Ethernet/Wi-Fi adapter or equip it with a USB card if there is at least one free slot on the desktop's motherboard.
One condition, however, is that the Wi-Fi you want to connect to requires a login and a password, as well as a type of encryption like WPA2.
As soon as you resume using a smartphone with Wi-Fi, you will be able to share the connection as you did before with both PCs this time.
If it’s a completely different procedure and intention, there will certainly be problems. So don’t follow my instructions.
Best regards.
