Hello,
I have a question
currently I have the mini 4k box in my living room.
it is connected to my Freebox server
my PC is also connected to my Freebox server
both are connected directly without any PLC or anything
I have an LG FHD TV, but I am thinking of investing in a 4K one this summer
so two questions:
-currently I use KODI where I have a media library of movies and series stored on my PC.
I really find that the 1080 movies, and even the 1080 series are not fluid at all
my wife doesn't mind but I really notice it especially on long tracking shots, it stutters a lot.
where could that come from? are my Ethernet cables not optimized for that? is the Freebox mini 4K not powerful enough to play HD? would putting a 2.5-inch hard drive directly connected to the TV be more appropriate (but then I can't use KODI)? or directly on the mini 4K box?
I really can’t understand the why of the how
and my second question (yes sorry that’s actually more than 2 questions)
I am going to invest in a 4k TV, will the problems get worse when I watch a UHD movie that is on my PC?
if I get the Xiaomi Android TV box will it be better? or if my TV directly integrates Android TV? or is the only solution to use KODI optimally to have the Shield?
finally, I don’t know if you grasp my issue

Hello,
Instead of using your PC, connect an external hard drive to the Freebox Mini 4K (on the box where the time is displayed). For your information, use Freebox OS to access all the settings of your Freebox.

it's not the ideal option....
I have 5 terabytes on my PC with a large portion of movies and series, not easy to change storage
afterwards I was considering buying a NAS server
but for you, it's the same I imagine because I would be connected via Ethernet to the router box, and via Ethernet from the router to the mini Freebox 4K, just like my PC currently. -
You can avoid changing storage by turning your internal hard drives into external hard drives by purchasing a case see this page and then you can directly transfer your movies from your PC to your hard drive that is connected to the Freebox as it will appear in the Windows Explorer.
