Connecting personal phone in nursing home

Hello,
My mother in the nursing home has a phone without a speakerphone button in her room. We tried connecting her old phone, but it doesn't work. We also tested a phone from another nursing home, but that doesn't work either. We connected the new phones either with the nursing home's phone line or with their own line, but nothing helps. The phone is connected to the nursing home's switchboard but also has a direct line.
No one at the nursing home could assist us.
Does anyone have a solution?
Thank you in advance for your responses.

    Good evening,
What type of phone is installed in this nursing home?
A wired model or a wireless type.. What brand? What model?

      Good evening,
It's an Alcatel 4003 flare phone.

As indicated in this notice: http://www.gestel.ch/Produits/ProduitsAlcatelOffice/ProduitsAlcatelOfficeTerminauxModules/Manuels-Pdf/A-GR-G2-4003.pdf
Is the outside obtained by dialing 0 and the standard by dialing 9?

Thank you for your message. On the instructions, I see there is an audio button to share the communication. I am going to the nursing home tomorrow; I will see if this button helps her hear the phone conversations better.

Indeed, there are also two pre-programmed buttons that allow you to adjust the speaker and headphone volume.

    Good evening,
Otherwise, as a last resort, you'll need a mobile phone with a plan...

As I mentioned earlier, we have abandoned the idea of a mobile phone because, firstly, she won't think to recharge it regularly, and secondly, all new technologies scare her now.
Thank you anyway for your link.

So... Is the attempt to use the "Share the conversation" button successful?
Or do we need to find another solution?

I went to the nursing home yesterday, but I forgot to do a trial. I'm supposed to go back there on Thursday. I'll see.
Otherwise, on a website, I saw the phones compatible with a PBX. There was the Alcatel 4003, but also the Alcatel 4010, which has a hands-free button. If your solution is not conclusive, I saw a second-hand Alcatel 4010 on Le Bon Coin. To be continued...

If the handset is connected to the unit via an RJ9 or RJ11 socket, there are also amplifiers to be inserted between the telephone unit and the handset
        Example: https://www.humantechnik.com/fr/produits/amplificateurs-telephoniques/ta-2/

Indeed, that is also a solution. I wasn't familiar with this kind of device.
Thank you for your help. I will keep you updated on the chosen solution.
Have a good end of the day.

      Hello,
I finally managed to test the phone at the retirement home, and indeed the button at the top right activates the speaker. The trial was successful with my mother; all that’s left is to put a fluorescent sticker on the button to help her remember to press it.
      Thank you for your help.
      Best regards.

        Thank you for the feedback...
The nursing home should have provided the necessary information regarding the operation of their devices.
It's the least they could do to inform their residents...
