Hello

I have a desktop PC connected via ethernet and I would like to create WiFi.

To do this, I bought a network card: https://www.asus.com/fr/Networking/PCEN10/
it has an AP mode to create a hotspot.

But right now it is not connected since I don't have WiFi, the AP mode is the only one I'm interested in. It is on the same motherboard as the main network card. How can I activate it via the motherboard?

All the drivers are up to date.

It appears in my devices.

If any useful information is missing, please ask even if I'm not very skilled.

Hello, the manual is available at: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/PCE-N10/E6391_PCE_N10_Manual_English.zip
In principle, the adapter comes with a CD containing drivers and a utility that allows you to configure everything; all resources are on the ASUS support site.

I installed it well with the CD, but after rebooting the PC for the drivers, I don't have the window offering ASUS WLAN Utility to control the card.
I think their utility only works if you have an Asus motherboard; I have a Gigabyte.

Isn't there something in the taskbar at the bottom right?

No, but I think the utility only works if you have an ASUS motherboard.

    Hi,
it's a mistake to buy a PC network card to create a wifi network; it's complicating things for no reason.
You would have been better off investing in a real wifi access point and connecting it directly to your box (surprising that your box doesn't have one built-in ...
for your PC, considering its current state.
you create an ad-hoc wifi network and with software like Connectify, you share your ethernet connection over wifi.

    and ... there you go!

Indeed, it was a problem related to Connectify, I hadn't looked in that direction.

      Thank you
