Hello,
I need to export a CS5 project to PDF to send to a printer, but when I try to export to PDF, I run into issues:
- Either the images are not included (p. 15, fig. 1 - for example) in print-ready PDF.
- Or the PDF includes all images but is in two-page spreads (interactive PDF).
Since the images come out in interactive PDF, I downloaded the "Export PDF" panel (to export page by page, not by spread), proposed by: http://expertsgraphiques.free.fr/index.php?post%2F2011%2F02%2F01%2FExportation-de-PDF-interactif-par-page=
However, it’s even worse now because some images no longer display at all in PDF, whether interactive or print.
I don’t understand, because all image links are OK in the document... Moreover, the images that didn’t print in print PDF used to appear in interactive PDF... So the problem doesn’t seem to come from that.
So I don’t know what to do anymore... and we need to send the whole document to the printer in PDF, fairly quickly...
I can send you the InDesign document if needed.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions to help me.
Best regards,
Ingrid

A PDF intended for a printer is created via the "File/Export" menu (PDF Print option)..
The rest depends on the settings in the export window, and on the predefined Adobe PDF preset...

In "PDF print," the document came out double-sided (comment above).
I just found the solution just now.
You had to go: file / document format / uncheck two-page view.
That shifted 2-3 images, which I repositioned.. (but nothing serious on a 150-page document..).
Anyway, from now on all pages can be printed in any kind of normal PDF..

Um.. yes, it’s a solution but you lose the ability to view your layout in two pages...
You could do the same thing when exporting to PDF by checking "page" instead of "plate".... and it wouldn’t change your way of working with pages Vis-a-vis
In addition, for printing, the bleed areas are then managed correctly (even at the center of the page) thanks to the page zones included in the PDF.
