PDF export with layout variant

Hello,
I am working on InDesign CS6 on PC.
I have created, using layout variations, an A3 version and an A4 version of a document, and I would like to export only the first 5 pages of the "Portrait" version. However, when exporting, InDesign only allows me to export either the entire portrait version or just one of the pages.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Claire

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 77.0.3865.90

Normally, in the PDF export window, you have the option to enter a page range in the "range" section..
The syntax would be 1-5 or 1,2,3,4,5, which allows you to select the desired pages.

I know this works for standard files, but in this case, it doesn't work (most likely due to the variations in layouts). InD even refuses to export several pages when I specify 1-5.
It shows me an error window saying "Unable to find the specified page numbers."

You must indicate the name of the layout variant you created followed by the page numbers e.g.: MP1: 1,2,3,4,5
The name of the layout can be found in the page palette. You can split the presentation into 2 windows for better visibility..

Normally it should work...

Hello, thank you for your response!
After several tests, I finally found it: you need to write the pages in the form MP1:1 MP1:2 MP1:3 etc...
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!!

See you soon for new discussions. :)
