Hello everyone,
Before I ask my question, I’ve already searched the forum but couldn't find all the answers I need.
So I have a desktop unit running Windows 10 with an Nvidia Quadro 4000 graphics card. I bought an Acer G246HL monitor which I connected via HDMI using a DisplayPort/HDMI adapter. Upon starting up, it displays "unsupported frequency".
I tested it with a DVI cable and it works. The HDMI cable also works.
On the forum, I found several solutions where they recommend reinstalling the graphics card. And that's where my computer skills are exceeded.
I only have one graphics card in my PC. Is it possible to uninstall it without my monitor displaying anything, in which case I would be completely stuck?
Thank you,
Have a good evening
Configuration: Macintosh / Firefox 59.0

Hello, I'm not super strong either, but I know that you can install several graphics cards or even split them, but I've never done it, so I don't know how to do it. So what you could do is install another one and remove the old one afterward.
Are you really sure that your HDMI cable is working properly? Try using at least two other cables. (I'm speaking from experience; I've had this problem before, and it was due to the cable).

Thank you for your reply. The cable works fine, I tested it with another PC and screen and everything was perfect.
