Bonjour,
I installed Kolourpaint but in English.
Switching it to French with Synaptic (installed) is advised on the web, but I am a novice console user and I can't install the localization file:
kde-l10n-fr
Can someone give me the command lines to write to do this?

    Hello,

    You indeed need to install the package 
    kde-l10n-fr
    . If you are unable to install it, start by updating by typing the following commands in a terminal: 

    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get upgrade


    Then install the package: 

    sudo apt-get install kde-l10n-fr


    If you encounter any issues:
    - copy and paste any error messages for us;
    - let us know which distribution and release you are using (if you don’t know, send us the content of 
    /etc/apt/sources.list
    ).

      Hello and thank you mamiemando.

      It worked well.
      I'm currently on Ubuntu 16.04 but I'm trying to upgrade to BB 18.04 and I'm having a big issue.

      See my post iso sha256 ubuntu 18.04 LTS

      where I've placed photos of the results from my loading attempt.
      This raises a few questions.
