Hello,
I built a PC in December and until recently, there were no issues, but for the past few days, I've been experiencing crashes in all my games, sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after several hours! The screen freezes, the sound continues for a bit sometimes, then it goes back to the desktop. I can't resolve the problem, I've scoured French and English forums without finding anything, I would like your help before I reset my Windows 10 (64 bits) and have to reinstall everything! (and still, I'm not sure that will solve my problem if it's hardware-related!)
When I check the reliability history, it shows me the following error:
A hardware problem has caused Windows to malfunction.
Problem signature
Problem event name: LiveKernelEvent
Code: 141
Parameter 1: ffffdb8cf52d8010
Parameter 2: fffff802c5b7c170
Parameter 3: 0
Parameter 4: 1270
Operating system version: 10_0_16299
Service pack: 0_0
Product: 768_1
System version: 10.0.16299.2.0.0.768.101
Locale identifier: 1036
I've read absolutely everything and anything on the forums related to this error so it hasn't been very helpful.
My configuration:
- Corsair 650W power supply
- AMD Ryzen 7 1700x processor
- Geforce 1080Ti
- Corsair 2x8 Go DDR4 2933mhz RAM
- Asus Prime B-350 Plus motherboard
- Acer Predator 4K screen
No overclocking, everything is stock.
So far, I've tried various things:
- BIOS update
- Windows Defender scan, no viruses detected
- Uninstalling all Nvidia drivers with DDU, then manually updating Nvidia graphics drivers, I also tried installing older drivers (before the crashes) but that didn't work
- I checked the temperatures with CPUID HWMonitor while gaming on ultra; to my knowledge, the PC is well-cooled (the CPU maxes out at 65 degrees, my card at 74 max)
- Tried modifying the TDR delay in regedit, didn't work so I reverted to default
- Checked the connections inside the case, plugged my graphics card into the other PCI E slot on the motherboard (just in case)
- Ran the sfc/scannow command, nothing to report
- Conducted a RAM test with Memtest86 for 2 hours, no errors detected
I imagine there are other things to try, but I'm out of ideas!
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
Blue screens or BSODs are crashes of Windows that can no longer continue to operate.
These crashes have several possible sources:
- software sources: crash of a device driver such as those of the graphics card, antivirus crashes, or any other software that can load "at a low level" on Windows.
- hardware sources: hardware problems with the hard drive, faulty memory sticks, or incompatibilities, etc.
It’s imperative to check if these crashes occur at particular times, for example, if it happens when you launch a video on your web browser or a game, there’s a good chance that it’s the graphics card driver causing the issue. You will then need to reinstall the graphics card drivers.
Also, unplug any other peripherals besides the keyboard/mouse (game controller, USB webcam, USB printer, etc.), if you have any of these peripherals, mention it, as it could be a source.
For more information on these blue screens, visit the following page: https://www.malekal.com/bsod-ecran-bleu-windows/
You can also use WhoCrashed to get information about these crashes.
Download and run WhoCrashed: Download WhoCrashed
=> WhoCrashed Tutorial
Copy/paste the content here as indicated in the tutorial.
Then:
Follow the FRST tutorial. ( take the time to read carefully - everything is well explained ).
Download and run the FRST scan,
Wait for the scan to finish; a message will indicate that the analysis is complete.
Three FRST reports will be generated:- FRST.txt
- Shortcut.txt
- Additionnal.txt
Send these 3 reports to the website https://pjjoint.malekal.com/ to share them.
In return, provide the 3 pjjoint links that lead to the reports here in a new response so that we can review them.

Hi, thanks for your response but it’s a bit generic and there are already several answers to your questions in my post! (although I understand that as a moderator, you must have a lot of work)
Firstly, I never mentioned BSOD! I've never had one and Whocrashed confirms this since I don't have a minidump.
You asked me if the crashes happen at particular moments; I said it’s only in games: the games freeze then crash, the process stops and I find myself back on my desktop. No error message from Windows at that moment, just some games that offer to create a report and send the data.
I ran the FRST scan, I don’t understand everything but here’s the link to the FRST.txt:
https://pjjoint.malekal.com/files.php?id=FRST_20180330_q10z14e5y7v12
and addition:
https://pjjoint.malekal.com/files.php?id=20180330_o15o14w9h7g5
Didn’t get a Shortcut file, though.
I did an OCCT test of the processor, no crashes, the CPU reaches 74 degrees running at 100%
However, when I run a power supply test, the CPU sometimes reaches 85 degrees (after several minutes) and the computer shuts down! (I think the safety limit must be at 85 degrees)
But I don’t believe this is related, in games during my crashes the PC isn’t stressed that much and I don’t exceed 75 degrees and if I were higher, the PC would shut down the same way I imagine. But I could be wrong!
Any other leads?
Thanks in advance- 85 degrees that's also starting.
On Addition.txt, the Windows log dump shows crashes of Windows stuff (Cortana, etc.)
and:
Error: (03/29/2018 01:36:29 AM) (Source: Application Error) (EventID: 1000) (User: )

Do you think this last one corresponds to the crash (according to the time)?
Since it involves a Kernel DLL.

Indeed, I see the logioverlay crash in my reliability log, but the in-game crashes occurred at different times (at least 5 or 6 throughout the day, like 12:31 AM, 12:49 AM, 1:20 AM...)
The logioverlay is related to my Logitech software for managing the mouse. I started having doubts because the errors were showing up from time to time in Windows over the past few days, but I didn't know the Kernel was affected, so that definitely strengthens my doubts!
I tried reinstalling the Logitech Options software with an updated version this afternoon, but nothing changed.
I'm going to try to uninstall everything and find a mouse from another brand to test in-game, and I'll let you know if the problem is resolved! -
Well no, I spoke too soon, it's crashing anyway...
On the other hand, I just looked at my OCCT power supply test report and I think something's wrong, I don't know much about voltage but this GPU graph shows large discrepancies

What do you think? -
Here are the graphs of the unstable values related to the GPU:
