My text doesn't appear on my image or shape.

Hello,
When I create a text box on a shape or a photo, the text does not appear, regardless of the layer or position... When I enlarge the box and it is larger than my document and therefore not on a photo or shape, it appears. I don't understand, it has never done this to me before and it didn't do this when I started creating my document, and after closing and reopening it, this happened. I must have pressed a button that prevents layering or something... does anyone have a solution?
I'm attaching a photo so you can see what I'm experiencing.
