Hello everyone, following the troubles with my Kéops 500 GB, I reformatted and partitioned it into two sections: 200 GB and 300 GB. It worked fairly well, but there was still an issue with folders. I'm getting rid of it and getting a Storex 640 GB, hoping for better quality.
Here’s a little tip: when a movie is on it but not playable, causing gaps in the reading of titles, just rename the movie.
In short, I do not recommend it. For more info, feel free to contact me.
    Best regards
    Phil

Bonjour, quand je mets trop de films sur mon disque, je n'arrive pas à les lire sur la télé, dossier roots vide. Peux-tu me dire comment diviser ton disque dur en deux ? Merci.

I formatted and organized my movies, but had no success. After all that, I partitioned it and still nothing. Then I tried putting my movies directly in the root directory, and when I plug it into my TV, I go to the movie folder and I see all my movies (180); since then, no problems at all, finally.

        Hi, Siba....
Well, actually I solved my problem by formatting with fat32formatter, it's super fast and no more issues, even for formatting large volumes, I have a 1000GB multimedia..... since then, my movies appear without problems, and the rest too.....

ahhh, yes, in general, formatting, whatever it is, deletes your data... (like for a USB stick, for example.).. you need to back up the data that is inside
        Go!!!!!!!!!

    Hello everyone,

I just got the Neo Keops 250 GO and would like to have the user manual in French. Does anyone know a trick online to get it?

    Thank you

    Hello

I noticed that when a file was larger than 4.5 GB, my Neo Keops stopped working on the TV (only the ROOT line), while I could read it perfectly fine on the PC.
By removing this large file, everything returned to normal.

There you go, if it can help some people.

Hello everyone, I bought a Neo Keops 500G for partitioning and you need to use Partition Magic....
It's important to note that it was only recognized when plugged into the power with the USB port on the bottom... it turns on with the remote control only when connected to the power, using the USB port on the top. !!!!
There you go, this helped me, I hope it will help someone.

      Hi Dylan,
sometimes it happens that nothing appears in the computer section, try connecting your keops first, then plug in the USB port,...... it seems silly, but sometimes it works......... otherwise, since it recognizes it, you should normally be able to see it somewhere on your computer.

Hello maelenzo! Thank you for answering me! I just tried what you told me! It still doesn't recognize it! And like you said, it must be somewhere but I can't find it! I went to the seller who connected it to his PC and the multimedia hard drive was in "COMPUTER"! He told me to install the driver, I started to install it but it says impossible to install because it's for Windows 98!

        Hi,
oops, I saw that a little higher up in another post, he had this problem, he first plugged in the Keops, turned it on with the power button (normal, you might say), and only then connected it to the PC.... and there, he found it on his PC; in his computer section.

      Hello,
do this: right-click on My Computer (or Computer), click on "Manage", then "Storage". In the right window, choose "Disk Management" (local), then double click, and you should see the hard drives present on your PC, normally in the form of horizontal bars...... locate the bar corresponding to your Keops...... usually, this is done when you want to format it, if you want to format it, just right-click on it, then format.
A lot of people have done this and resolved the problem this way. Then the Neo would appear on their PC as soon as it was plugged in.

Hello, I have a Neo Keops 1 TB and I'm having no luck getting it to work on my TV. I partitioned it into 2 in NTFS because I can't seem to partition it in FAT32 with Swissknife v3 as mentioned in the previous posts. I've tried everything and I'm even having trouble connecting it to the TV. What should I do now?
Thanks for your help, see you soon and happy new year again.

      Hi Matt,
look higher, my 1TB, I partitioned it with fat32formatter, super fast, and then, no problem watching on the TV, I will try to find the link that explains exactly how to do it, for the primary and secondary part, or something like that, I don't remember too well.

      Hey again, Matt,
my response wasn't good, I said: I partitioned with fat32formatter, I meant to say: I formatted with fat32formatter!!!!!! Sorry.

Hi, thanks for your help. I had to bring my hard drive back because it had a real problem, the disk being broken I couldn't make it work. I tried FAT32Formatter and unfortunately I ended up formatting my computer's internal hard drive!! Bad luck for this new year.
Thanks for your help, see you soon.

    Hello,
I just bought a Keops neo multimedia hard drive of 1T
The problem is that my computer does not detect it. However, I'm on
Windows Vista so I shouldn't need a driver...
Does anyone know the solution please? :(

      Hi Charlotte
have you looked at response 92, a little higher up in the forum?
you can already try it; if it works, great........but there's no need to format it for now,

Hello, I'm experiencing exactly the same issue with the Madia Coskin 500G0. I connected it via composite cables to the TV. It worked perfectly, then I used it with my PC, no problem... but when I reconnected it to the TV in the same way, the TV no longer recognizes it... I tried it again with my PC, and it works perfectly... I don't know what to do. Please give me a solution. Thank you.

    Hi kikilapou,
have you read the post in full? There are some solutions in it, read it all the way through, you'll see quite a few solutions, it's for the keops, but maybe for your coskin, it can be solved the same way.
    See you, best regards.

    Hello,

I acquired the Neo Keops 1000GB hard drive.

I am using Vista so I only plug it in (without installation CD) but my hard drive does not show up.

The order of connections and power-up does not change anything.
I also tried changing the USB port, no change.
However, this message might help me:

But when I right-click on Computer, I don't have a "Manage" option available to me...

    Thank you in advance. Thomas

PS: The blue LED is blinking like crazy and my antivirus is Avira (maybe they're communicating... or is it scanning it???)

    Hi Thomas..........
    Well, here's what I do:
Start/right-click on computer/manage/double-click on storage/double-click on disk management/there, your PC searches for the data on your present drives and opens a window with the volume, the file system, etc., in my case, 1 hard drive hdd (C:), 1 hdd (E:), and my Keops.
Hoping to have helped you at least a little........after, from experience with my Keops, mine had trouble reading files on the TV, but after formatting it into two partitions, one in FAT32, no issues......
For your antivirus, I also have this one, no issues for me.

If you could answer this survey about external hard drives, I am in a business school at ISTEC, and I am conducting a study on this product.
There are 25 questions, each very short, it will take you barely 3 to 5 minutes.
I would be grateful, I only need 50 responses.
    Thank you again.
