Avast Driver Updater

I'm managing!! but I'm far from being a specialist// I used Avast updater for an update of my drivers, they are all up to date yet from time to time a black panel appears in the middle of my screen indicating a problem related to Data?? What should I do?,

More and more, Avast is essentially a money-making machine....

Their entire strategy seems to be based on the multiplication of "services".... services that are of course paid and intertwined in their presentation.... playing on the ominous side of "your machine has certain deficiencies...." and a flood of messages that confuse the user....

Many people will be surprised after opting for one of the options to find themselves charged for others... because they won’t have been able to sort through them...

They cast a wide net... if you don’t use Avast and download Ccleaner, the Avast download is pre-checked.... once the "customer" is acquired.... it’s just a matter of inundating them with alarming warnings to encourage them to switch to paid tools.... and so on!

I uninstalled Avast on W10 (without regrets)... I keep it on my old Vista, but it increasingly annoys me... with its alert messages: no infection, but obsolescence of this or that (Fortunately, I hardly use it anymore except for storage and keep it for safety in case of my main PC failing.)

In short, 5, 10 years ago, Avast was undoubtedly an excellent tool, hardly intrusive, of quality to say the least the "best" among those offering free versions.... now I would certainly refrain from recommending it to anyone!

Avast Driver Updater is a big scam!

The software claims that updates are necessary, but when I go to the list of drivers to do it manually, everything is up to date.

This feature was already available (if I'm not mistaken) on the Avast freeway.
I believe it’s called: Software Updater.
Now, for the same thing, they want to charge $50 a year?
Some will quickly change antivirus, and certainly I will be the first, as Avast is becoming a real hassle :-(

I would like to add that when you want to download Adobe Acrobat DC for free from the official site, Avast is pre-checked and the page loads slowly so that we only see the "download" button. What about Adobe Updater that launches on Windows startup?

It seems that Avast! Updater Driver is the Driver Updater from Slimware that has been rebranded as Avast!.
