Automatic string memorization issue
Hello,
I just purchased a Sony television, I set it up, connected the devices (notably the SFR decoder) and started the settings.
But right from the start, I am faced with a difficulty: when I ask it to detect and memorize the channels ("Automatic digital channel tuning"), it starts the search... but finds no channels. It then prompts me to "check the antenna" and "try again." I don't know what it means by "check the antenna" since the SFR decoder is perfectly connected to the box, just like it was with the old television. Nothing has changed, no connections have been modified.
Does anyone have any idea what I should do for the television to detect and memorize the TNT channels?
Thank you very much for any advice you can give me!
Have a lovely afternoon.
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 57.0

Hello,
Two things:
-If you want to receive TV through your box, you need to switch your TV to the HDMI input to which the box is connected and not stay on "antenna". In this case, the box receives the channels.
-If you want to receive terrestrial TNT, it is obvious that your TV must be connected to a working rooftop antenna.

I want to continue receiving the DTT channels through my box, that's why when I installed the new TV I made sure to keep the same connection: the box's cable connected to the TV's HDMI input. I don't understand which step I missed....
I'm even more surprised that I notice the image, although very beautiful, lacks precision during movement: if the characters on the screen move slightly, their outline becomes very choppy, and the same happens if the camera moves: the movement is jerky.
I deduce that there is really something I am missing.
I would like to clarify that this is a Sony full HD TV with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, yet when I turn on the devices (box + TV), the inscription "1080i" appears at the top of the screen...
Is that the problem and how can I fix it?
Thank you very much, and sorry for all my questions from a not-so-skilled guy...
When using a box, it's that box that receives the channels via ADSL and transmits them to the TV via HDMI, and if the bandwidth is not sufficient, it's a disaster...;-(
If you have an antenna socket, the result is likely to be much better, but indeed you will have to make your TV perform a channel scan.
Your box only delivers 1080, and there are not yet any sources on the market in 3840 x 2160 pixels, except for a few experimental broadcasts via satellite.
Anyway, thank you so much for your answers! ;-)
