Hello,
I have an audio CD player (brand name in the title) that I haven't used for a long time. It no longer reads CDs and displays "no disc." I can't unscrew the chassis to look inside, as the screws on the side are impossible to remove.
Thank you in advance for your help.

unplug it if it isn't already done, you shouldn't look at the laser, it's bad for your eyes.
Clean the laser optics with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol, wipe it and dry it well with the other end of the cotton swab.
Then try again.
If it doesn't work, if the player seeks without finding the disk but you can hear it searching, you feel that it's slipping, buy white lithium-based grease and put it on the rails where the optical block slides, it will prevent it from slipping too much and going straight through, it provides resistance to motor bumps so that it slides more smoothly.
An example of the grease you need: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=white+lithium+grease&_sop=15
If that doesn't work, I think there's not much else to do except find another one, given its age. -
Hello,
If you can't open it, there's not much we can do :/
