Hello,
I reset my Huawei P9 Lite phone.
Since then, I can't get it to work:
- PIN code entry OK
- Language selection OK
- Wi-Fi recognition OK
But after entering my Google address and the correct password, I receive the following message:
"Unable to connect to the device due to an unknown error; Please try again in 24 hours or try with another account"
I tried with another Google account
I waited 72 hours, having changed my Google password beforehand
But nothing works!
What can I do?

Hello,
I talked about this issue on this site, if you look around a bit, you would have found https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-35064542-zenpad-10-connexion-impossible-apres-echange-ecran
It’s a security measure against theft and other forms of impersonation since Android 5...
You need to enter the Google account name and password that were initially used on this device and that have been synchronized... and nothing else.
I imagine you have reset or wanted to change the account on this device... it doesn’t work... even if you reset it to factory settings, Google will recognize your phone and block its connection.
So you need to find and use the previous Google account and password...-
Thank you Jeannets,
but... with the correct account and password it doesn’t work, I always get the same message!
I also tried indicating a lost password; Google sent me an unlock code, but I always end up with the same message:
"unable to connect to the device due to an unknown error; please try again in 24 hours or try with another account"
the error message appears while the search for the Google account is in progress (visible execution indication).
any idea on what to do?
thank you

Don't try with another account... it's the original you need... otherwise it gets blocked.
If you've changed your (forgotten password) and you're in the right, you have to wait between 24 and 72 hours to be able to reconnect... It's also a protection against clever little tricks.
Be careful... don't try before the time... it resets the countdown to zero.
No actions possible. Just wait, that's all. -

That's pretty much it... But if I were you, I'd set it aside rather than throwing it away...
Because with the number of stuck people, a day will probably come when an effective method comes out that's accessible to the average Joe..
In the meantime, you can check out the link I provided... which also gives another one... there's a method that requires a good half-day of concentration... you can give it a try.
