Space-bar-issue

Solved

Hello,

I have a problem with my space bar, it doesn't work when I type text (on any software, whether it's my internet browser, a notepad, Open Office, etc. I can't make a space!).

This has been going on for weeks, sometimes it starts working again for no reason and then it gets stuck again.

I have already searched a lot on the internet for solutions but I can't find anything that works (many talk about the fn key or updating drivers but that doesn't do anything for me).

I don't think the problem comes from the hardware or that there's something under the keyboard because if that were the case, I would probably feel it I think, and it would just take a bit of pressure to make it work but right now it does nothing, and as I said before, sometimes it works normally even if it's getting rarer...

I have a Toshiba laptop, the model is SATELLITE C50D-A-133 and I'm running Windows 8.1

Hoping someone can help me, thank you very much.

After doing a lot of research on my part, I still haven't found a solution for my key to work again; however, I did find an alternative solution in the meantime that is still quite handy. I'm sharing it here to help those who might have the same problem as me and stumble upon this topic...

I downloaded the small software "KeyTweak" which allows you to replace one key on the keyboard with another! So I configured my right shift key (which I never used) to act as a spacebar and there you go! I still need to get used to clicking here to make a space, but it's already much better than doing alt+32 or replacing spaces with dashes!

I still hope to find a real solution, if anyone has one...
