alt+enter is not working anymore

Hello,
I have an issue with line breaks in a cell. Usually, I use the Alt+Enter shortcut without any problem, but now it's impossible to do. Nothing happens.

For your information, the wrap text feature is indeed enabled across the entire workbook, and I’ve checked that the cells are not locked.

I also tested it on a new workbook without success.

I'm using Excel 2016 (Office 365) and I’ve updated it as well.

My Alt key works too; I tested my favorite shortcut (Alt+0201).

I’m stuck (or maybe it’s Excel).

Any ideas?

Apparently, the alt + enter no longer works, but the windows + alt + enter does... Go figure why. I've tested all the other solutions. I only found that one that works... mystery...

No, not at all, the line break has nothing to do with it; on the contrary, Alt and Enter activate it, while Adjust locks it.

For Maryse, select the stubborn cells and right click on your selection/Format Cells/Alignment tab/unclick Adjusted.

To convince yourself, do a test on a cell.

After rechecking, indeed the automatic forwarding is not to blame. But I did not see any issue with the "adjust" option either.

It doesn't seem to be a macro problem since you tested it on other workbooks, nor is it a keyboard issue since your Alt key works.

This could be related to a loading of a macro add-in or add-in when opening Excel.
Open Excel in safe mode and see if Alt + Enter works
start menu --> run --> excel /s

In the advanced options, under 'Lotus compatibility', don't you have 'Alternative movement keys' checked by any chance?
