Office Pro 2013 - validation key Solved

Question

Hello, I was using Office Professional Plus 2013 - 64 bits, installed with Microsoft's Toolkit on a PC running Windows 10. I just purchased an Office Professional 2013 - 32 bits license (not the Plus version), I downloaded the suite from the Microsoft site with the key provided during the purchase by Soft Panda. After uninstalling my suite and restarting the PC, I installed the new one. But in the applications, I still see the title Office Professional Plus 2013 and therefore the validation key does not work. I assume that when I uninstalled, some elements of the Plus version remained??? I can't find a solution. Thank you for your help.

Hello;  It's good that you opted for legality!  Unless I'm mistaken, the old suite was certainly uninstalled incorrectly and prevents the reinstallation of a different legal version if not Pro Plus version I suggest you use the tool provided by Microsoft to uninstall this suite or part of both The link to this tool is >> Here  >> (Option 2 - Completely uninstall Office 2013 using the repair tool)  If that doesn't work, it's possible to do a longer but effective manual uninstallation Then restart the machine and do a new installation corresponding to the purchased product key  See you for your upcoming comments but if none >> Resolved  Best regards Aging well: It's preferring the time that remains to the time that passes

Hello;  My other idea is to perform a manual uninstallation (which I've done several times without any problems)  I suggest you do as indicated below  There are most likely some well-hidden files that are preventing the reinstallation of the software  1-Download and install Revo Uninstaller >> Here >> Launch the tool and in the window that opens, look for the Microsoft Office 2013 or 2016 icon(s) and Uninstall (at the top)  2-Download and install Windows Cleanup utility >> Here which works perfectly under Windows 10 or Microsoft fix-It >> Here  3-Launch one of the 2 tools and in the window that opens, scroll the cursor to find all the entries related to Microsoft Office 2013 and delete them and only those Be sure to scroll the mouse cursor so as not to miss any entries  See the screenshot below   4-Visit the registry to delete the Office pack entries   Restart the machine to perform a new installation  A+ for your upcoming comments but if none >> Resolved    Sincerely Aging well: It's preferring the time that remains to the time that passes

Thank you again. I just executed your long list. Point 4 is bugging me. I just did the research on the registry on "Office." Dozens of keys and subkeys are involved. For the keys that only contain Office references, I should be able to delete them without any problems. But for the keys that have some subkeys containing Office, can I delete everything (the entire key) or only the subkeys concerned? Thank you for your insights.

Hello;  For the registry, you need to open HKEY_CURRENT_USERS >> Software >> Microsoft >> Office which you delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> Software >> Microsoft >> Office which you delete  Note >> By deleting Office, you remove all keys and subkeys... I have removed the indicated keys. Reinstallation of Office Pro 2013 and still Office Plus 2013!!!! I'm leaving for the day, but I'm still waiting to get back to it as soon as I return. Thanks again.

Hello;  There is certainly another problem because I have done several uninstallations as mentioned above and never had any issues. Can't you launch Office? Or what??? Hello;  When you installed this suite, was the key requested during the installation or at the end? Because if it's at the beginning, that would mean it accepts the installation of this suite, but if you have to enter the key at the end of the installation and it gets rejected, then there is indeed a problem. Hello;  In my opinion, if the installation of this Office Pro 2013 package went well, it means there was no duplicate with the old version that has already been correctly uninstalled. Now the problem is indeed the product activation that is causing issues >> In my opinion, the best solution would be to contact Microsoft technical support, proving your good faith regarding this key purchased from Soft Panda, and I think Microsoft should have a solution because personally, if the issue lies with a license key that is not compatible with this purchased version, I don't see many other solutions  See you later    -- Sincerely Aging well: It's preferring the time that remains over the time that passes

Hello to both of you!  LMV85, did you use the activation assistant?  Assumption: Depending on the version, you may have an Office suite that must be tied to a single PC. So the assistant may be necessary for Microsoft to create an identification ID for your PC.  If there is an issue, you will likely be provided with contact methods (phone or otherwise)  "Start an Office program that has not been activated. Click on Activate Product in the Help menu of an Office program. Run the Microsoft Office Activation Assistant outside of an Office program.  To do this, click Start, point to Programs, then to Microsoft Office Tools and click Activate Product."  What happens during activation?  During activation, the Microsoft Office Activation Assistant creates a non-unique hardware ID that represents your computer's configuration at the time of activation. The hardware ID does not include any personal information or any information about software or data that may reside on your computer or the brand or model of your computer. The hardware ID identifies only the computer and only for purposes of product activation.  During activation, you may also provide your personal information (name and address) if you wish to register your product with Microsoft.  The Microsoft Office Activation Assistant can detect and tolerate changes made to your computer's configuration. Minor hardware upgrades do not require reactivation. However, if you make a complete upgrade to your computer, you may need to reactivate your product. Hello,  by proving your good faith regarding this key purchased from Soft Panda If I’m not mistaken, these keys are OEM keys that can be activated on a single machine and sold with it, meaning you have to repurchase if you change machines or if you replace an important component. You pay half the price, but at the risk of having to buy it twice (or even three times if you're unlucky with your hardware...) You're on the borderline of legality here, I doubt MS is the best contact. If this is really your first activation, it's better to contact the seller first.  Furthermore, you said you installed the 64-bit version. Did you check in C:\Program Files that there are no remnants that could mislead Office? eric   By trying continuously, we eventually succeed.
