Waiting for the Google Chrome cache display

Hello,

Hi,
I have a problem with my PC when I browse in Chrome.
It says "Waiting for cache to display" at the bottom left of the screen, and during that time, my PC freezes. This happens regularly.
I can still move the mouse and switch windows, but I can't launch another program or close Chrome during the freeze.
I thought it might be my SSD hard drive that's failing; it's 6 years old.
If you have any ideas, I’m all ears ;) Thanks
