Package in transit for 17 days

Hello everyone,

I'm writing this message because I'm starting to worry. I ordered 4 makeup kits via the Cdiscount website (one of its partner sellers hosted by it), Cdiscount being out of stock of the product, I ordered from its partner, a bit cheaper too, from a Chinese seller. They might be counterfeit, I don't know; I wasn't familiar with this brand at all. Even though the delivery time is quite long because it's free (EMS), I don't care, it's for Christmas gifts... However, it's been 17 days since the package has been in transit and the tracking hasn't moved, the seller tells me to wait by following the link, what a joke...

Hello

A little (= a lot..) of patience. The journey of Chinese parcels remains a complete mystery.. Sometimes there are inexplicable 'delays', weird and illogical routes..

Sometimes the parcel arrives before it is declared 'arrived in the destination country'.

17 days is not dramatic yet. The parcel is on its way (or in transit?).
This means it has to undergo various security checks (Mainly no batteries! There have been cargo plane fires caused by exploding Lithium batteries..).
After the check, there is the wait to load into an air container (Long queue..). Then the transit through the Customs of the destination country..

I've seen worse: 3 1/2 months..

  Sometimes the package arrives before it is officially declared 'arrived in the destination country'.
  
  And sometimes, the package has arrived and the tracking never indicates it... 'lost' along the way, without appearing on the tracking, but it's definitely there... ;o))
  
  When it comes from China, it tends to take time or get lost in tracking because there are so many packages being loaded and unloaded at the same time...

Wow, the delivery times are promising!! I know that the delivery deadline hasn't passed because it was supposed to be delivered between October 26 and November 10. I'm just inquiring about a tracking number that hasn't moved for 17 days. It's true that I see some people getting anxious about not receiving their "toys" after just 3 days, and that's quite annoying... I'm not 12 years old anymore.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for some movement...

I have indeed sent two stamps on postcards to Algeria that haven't arrived since August.
I know it's not the same rate, but the delay isn’t any better for two pieces of cardboard. :/

    I placed an order on July 17th and since the 22nd it has been stuck at "your package has left the shipping country." I don't know if it has arrived in France or not.

A late response but which may help: from China to France, there are several possible routes: maritime, air, and land.
The maritime route goes via Suez to a Mediterranean or Atlantic port (but not necessarily French).
The air route is very fast (10 days door to door), arriving at the Sinotrans hub in Belgium or directly at Paris CDG.
The land route involves special courier trains like the Wihu-Małaszewicze line (the largest dry cargo area in Europe) in Poland. By train, there is a transit time of 10-15 days ("preparation of the train, journey, unloading") without information until your package is scanned again. This is the preferred route if you have chosen the eco delivery of a device containing lithium batteries, for example, as air transport has very strict regulations regarding the transport of lithium batteries (dangerous goods).
Now, a long transit period can also be explained by random customs checks: your package is picked, put on hold, inspected, and then redistributed (an additional 10 days). You will notice that it has been opened and resealed with adhesive or repackaged and relabeled.

Well, still no change, my package hasn't moved since 10/13/2017, it's in transit, it's starting to take a long time, the seller keeps asking me to wait... Because it's the shopping season blah blah... tired of waiting...

Hello, I have the same problem. I ordered a pair of shoes, but my package has been in transit for 19 days now and the tracking number hasn't updated since August 2nd. I don't understand.

A package marked as in transit means that it is on its way between its point of departure and its final destination, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is in a vehicle; it may just have left and could very well be stuck in customs or elsewhere, and you won’t get any updates until it is delivered! That’s the problem when buying from outside Europe...

  Yes, I see that.. it's a first for me with China, I always place my orders on the Cdiscount website which I trust, but this time, it was out of stock, so they offered me to buy from their partner store, I didn't suspect anything at all, it's the official platform, but it's really a scam if, first of all, it's fake and we don't receive anything, because the credit card has been charged..
