Wikipedia Biography Date Addition

Solved

Hello everyone,
Sorry for my clumsiness, this is the first time I’m using a forum to ask for help.
I would like to add the date of death of a relative who is on Wikipedia, but I can't do it. When I click edit on the page and add the dates, everything goes well. But when I close the page and search again, the date does not appear. Yet the last modified date is the one when I made the change.
Thank you for your help.

Hello,

Thank you for providing the page link to Wikipedia.
I would like to remind you that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a directory.
It deals with well-known personalities.

Here is the link to the page.

I know that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and I would never think of editing a page for "fun".

I just wanted to add a new element to this page since it exists.

Hello,

The modification does not appear because in order to add information of this type, a source that supports and confirms the information must be added.

In this case, no source was added and therefore, the modification was revoked.

See: (actu | diff) September 30, 2017 at 7:52 PM‎ Sukkoria (discuss | contributions)‎ m . . (2,413 bytes) (-77)‎ . . (Cancellation of modifications by 82.124.XX.XX (return to the previous version of Antoniex): still no sources for this information) (undo) in the edit history. Therefore, the modification to add the date was revoked because it was not sufficiently valid, as no source confirms your information.

A bit of reading on adding sources when editing Wikipedia: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikip%C3%A9dia:CVS

Thank you for the information.
I have read the link carefully, but I don't see how to cite my source since it is not taken from an article on the internet, but from a real event. So how should I proceed? I'm not required to upload the death certificate, am I?

This is left to the discretion of the moderating individuals.

If necessary, open a "discussion" on Wikipedia for the relevant article to see.
