No more CD/DVD drive in Device Manager

Hello,

for some time my DVD drive has not been working on my MSI laptop (running Windows 10). I searched a lot for solutions online but nothing has ever worked (registry key modifications, etc...).
In Device Manager, when I clicked on the DVD drive I saw an error code 45 ("This hardware device is not connected to the computer"). However, I made the mistake of uninstalling the DVD drive (from the device manager, driver, uninstall the device from the system), so that in the list of devices the "DVD drives" category doesn't even appear anymore, as you can see in this image: http://hpics.li/a2c40ca
It should be noted that the drive opens when I press the button manually, but when I put a DVD inside nothing appears on the screen.

Does anyone have a solution?
I remain available for any additional information.

Thank you.

Hi

Have you already done the basic checks, like:
Checking in the BIOS if it's recognized.
Unplugging/replugging the drive.
Downloading/reinstalling the drivers...?

To reinstall the drivers, the drive must already be in the list of devices ;-)
