How to access the Device Manager in Mac OS X 10

Question

Hello,my Mac no longer recognizes my hard drive...it doesn't appear anywhere even though it should be on my desktop as usual!how do I access the device manager?how can I find it, it doesn't show up anywhere, neither on the desktop nor in Finder, so where???thank you for your helpConfiguration: Macintosh / Safari 10.1.2

Thank you Ritchi it's already done! this external hard drive should appear on the desktop, in the sidebar of the Finder as usual but nothing!!!
