Hello,

I have just acquired the Samsung UE40C5100 television.
I would like to connect this TV to the local network (Livebox) where I can read multimedia files from the laptop on the TV.

In the user manual, it states that for this, I need to obtain a Samsung wireless LAN adapter (WSI09ABGN, WSI09ABGN2, WSI10ABGN).

My question is, is it strictly necessary to have this Samsung adapter to network my TV and laptop? Or is a USB Wi-Fi dongle that supports the 802.11N protocol sufficient?

Thank you in advance.

Configuration: Asus N70SV
OS: Windows Se7en 32 bits
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16GHz
RAM: 4Go
Graphics Card: Geforce GT 130M

    Solution 2
    SAMSUNG TV <--- RJ 45 ---> TP-LINK WR702N <---- WIFI B/G/N ----> ADSL BOX

    These are mini routers that provide wifi when you're far from the ADSL BOX xD
