Merge an S Card under Lollipop

This has been restored since Lollipop, but not all manufacturers offer this option, like Samsung for example. Then you ask questions, that's good, but what device make and model please... here is theoretically how it works

During a first setup, for example by resetting the device, it will detect your microSD and you will be asked to either choose it as external storage or merge it as internal storage... but I repeat, unfortunately some block this option, but it can be done, for example by rooting your phone + a custom ROM, etc... provided one exists for your model

Thank you for this first response and for your help. Indeed, I could/should have been more precise.

In my first post, I mention two devices:
- a Galaxy Tab A tablet (Samsung SM-T555);
- a Galaxy J3 2016 phone (Samsung SM-J320).

For the tablet, it updated to Marshmallow during the night from Saturday to Sunday. The "merge" feature did not exist, but I found a tutorial (see the reference in my first post) and it seems everything now works.

The problem is therefore the phone. It runs on Lollipop (Android 5.1.1). I can access the shell via ADB, but I cannot partition with the SD card because the "sm" command (which I used for Marshmallow) is not present.

Hence my three questions.

If I understand your answer: Lollipop allows merging, but Samsung blocks the feature; however it can be bypassed.

In your opinion, is there a simple procedure? A good tutorial?

The simplest would be to upgrade to Marshmallow, but I don’t know if we can force the installation of this Android version in France (some J3s seem to work on Marshmallow in the United States).
