Connect Samsung TV without SCART to DVD

Thank you again for this response. Indeed, I have this device; I managed to connect it, but I can watch movies, and I cannot record. Also, in the DVD settings, when I go to "channel" and "retrieve channels from the TV," it tells me that there is no communication with the television.
I would like to be able to record movies on the TV so that I can watch them later at more convenient times.

We need the brand and model of both devices in order to examine the full extent of each one's connectivity and see if we can find a solution without investing in expensive conversion devices... or having to change one or the other device.

Current TVs do have a Scart connection, but it is wired only for input and not input/output, so you cannot record TV from its tuner.
Your recorder only has an analog tuner, which is therefore incompatible with the reception of the new HD digital standard.
You are not alone in facing this kind of issue, and here is what I usually suggest on this forum.
Solution 1, the best and least expensive one: - Most current HD TNT boxes come with a "PVR" = Personal Video Recorder (in French = Magnétoscope Numérique), they record on external hard drives in HD, they can of course be programmed in advance, convenient, no more tapes or DVDs to handle, and you can thus record one channel while watching another on the TV since it is HD,
These HD TNT adapters are available everywhere starting from €20.
You can still use your DVD recorder for playback.
Solution 2 not great: add an HD box to your current recorder which will record via the Scart input a digital HD signal deteriorated to analog SD, distorted image, etc., plus you will need to program both devices.
- But it is possible as long as the HD TNT box has a Scart socket and the recorder is set to this input.
Connections:
For the antenna, whichever solution:
Antenna input to the HD TNT box, then return to the TV with a coaxial cable (output from the box -> TV antenna input.)
Solution 1: HD TNT box via HDMI to the TV.
DVD recorder via Scart.
Solution 2:
The Scart output from the HD TNT box to the Scart input of the recorder (AV2 in principle) which you will need to set to this input.
DVD recorder via Scart to the TV.
It may be necessary to configure the TNT box because some output via Scart or HDMI but not both.
Solution 3: buy another recorder with an HD tuner!!! but that’s tough.
