Hello,
I have a Canon IR 2420 multifunction copier that usually prints perfectly, but for the last 4 days, it hasn't been printing and shows the following error message: "Repair data errors completed." What should I do? Please help me.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,
So it's a Laser printer.. Black and White.
-- It should be able to print from a Computer (a letter for example)..??
-- And also print a photocopy, with the original being under the Scanner.
So, does either of these two work..?? or None..??
Given the printer, the errors may be due to a lack of Toner ... Or a defect in the drum or the heating element...
There should be a manual with this machine..?? and the list of faults is at the end of the document..
It could also be a transmission error... (data error) how is the digital connection between the printer and the PC made..?? -
I greatly thank you Jeannets for your help
The printer machine is making a good photocopy with the original being under the scanner and it is connected to a PC via a USB port
Thank you in advance for your help. -

If I understand your French correctly.. It prints well for photocopies..
And it doesn't print from the PC (which you didn't mention)..??
You also haven't responded to say if you have the manual..??
And what the manual says about this error..??
Is your error message on the PC..?? or on the printer..??
I assume your problem is with the connection to the PC...
1° does this printer actually exist on this PC in "Devices and Printers" ..???
Has this printer ever worked on this PC..??
2° what is your version of Windows..? have you changed versions recently.?
3° With which software are you launching your print..??
Answer each of the questions.. -
Hello Jeannets, thank you in advance for taking care of my problem.
1. Yes, the machine prints well for photocopies but does not print from the PC.
2. I do not have the machine's manual because not only did I buy it second-hand, but I also can no longer find the manual.
3. My error message appears on the printer.
4. I do not know if the problem is the connection with the PC.
5. Yes, the printer does exist in the devices and printers window.
6. Yes, the printer has worked well on this PC before.
7. I have Windows 7 and I have never changed the version.
8. I do not know the name of the software because to make the printer work, I just need to connect the print cable to the CPU and the printer for it to start working.
Thank you in advance for your help. -

Here is the link to download the manual in French
https://www.canon.fr/support/products/imagerunner/imagerunner-2420.html?type=manuals&language=#disclaimer
Thank you for these comprehensive responses point by point.
So if I understand correctly, the connection is via USB...??
And I understand that the USB cable is not permanently connected... but only when there is a need to print..??
Which isn't very good... it would be better if this USB connection was in place before starting the PC...
Possibly, change the USB port, put it in another one on your PC.
Let me know what it does. -
Wow, I say thank you three times:
1. because you just brought a smile back to my face since I didn't know what to do anymore;
2. Besides, you let me know that one of my USB ports is broken
3. For the link that allows me to download the copier documentation
Jeannets have a good day
Thank you in advance for your help
