ERROR 0X00000704, printer installation problem in

Hello,
I installed a Brother printer (MFC-J425W) via Wi-Fi, and so far everything is fine; it is connected to the router.
(I didn't have the USB cable to connect it to my laptop, so I did it manually.)
However, when I try to install it using the installation CD on my laptop with Windows 7 64-bit, I get the following error: 0x00000704, the specified port is unknown.
The problem lies with the computer and not the printer as I was able to install it without any issues on another computer.
I have also looked for the latest available drivers, disabled my antivirus during the installation, but nothing works; the problem is with Windows.
Can someone please help me out? I'm out of ideas!!
