paragraph mark - black squares Solved

Hello,
I would like to know what the black squares at the beginning of the line correspond to when you click on the "paragraph mark" symbol. What are they for, and can they be deleted?

Hello

The "keep paragraphs together" option is enabled and can be found by right-clicking anywhere on the paragraph / Paragraphs / Line and Page Breaks tab
When this option is activated on a paragraph, the following ones will remain linked and will not be split at the bottom of the page.

PS: this mark does not print

Note: you can also have this black square if you choose:
Paragraph... / Breaks tab / ☑ Page break before

This black square cannot be deleted, and it's useless to
do so since it does not print; however, this black square will
no longer be displayed if you uncheck: ☐ Page break before

Here is the only usefulness of displaying the black square:
to indicate that for the concerned paragraph, a
special paragraph format such as Page break before
or Linked paragraphs has been chosen (see Argitxu's response).
