Hello,

I copied a text from a Word document, which I pasted into my Word document that I was drafting. And there's a little triangle that is SO annoying that appeared in the margins, and it jumps around randomly from page to page whenever I hit "Enter". Sometimes it even jumps multiple lines at once. I turned on the layout view and there's no "page break" marked anywhere, so I don't understand why it's jumping pages randomly and how to get rid of it.

When you click on the little triangle, it can be made vertical.
This thing is driving me crazy; I would like to remove it from the entire document. I have no idea what this stupid tool is called, making it even harder to figure it out on my own ^^
I took a screenshot to show you because as described, it's not clear.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,

Probably bad style management.
This small triangle allows you to collapse or expand a chapter. It appears in front of paragraphs that have a title style (Title 1, Title 2, etc.).
It’s very handy to be able to collapse certain titles when you are no longer working on them.

Detailed explanations here:

And I add that it is certainly the opposite of a “stupid” tool!!!!

Do not bother to ask me your questions privately. I do not respond.
