"Document not saved" on Excel document

Hello,
On a colleague's PC (Windows 7 64-bit, Office 2013), there’s a recurring issue that can be quite blocking.
With certain files, and randomly, he can't save. When he tries to save or save as, the file shows a loading bar at the bottom right and displays "Document not saved" in an error window. I suspected a network problem, but the network is fine; micro-cuts have never caused issues when saving a file, as long as they are resolved at the time of saving.
However, the problematic files are linked to an Oracle database. Could that be the cause? The files work with macros and links to Oracle, but for example, he showed me a file he couldn't save, he closed it, repeated the exact same manipulation, and this time it worked without a hitch.
If you have encountered similar problems, could you suggest a solution?
