Hello,

I have an HP HP Notebook 14-ac120nf with a small 30 GB eMMC drive.
I would like to install an antivirus, but there is no space.

My two questions:

- Is it possible to change the eMMC on this device which apparently is soldered?

- In the case of an external hard drive, how does it work for the antivirus? Can it work on a drive that is not the one where Windows is installed?

Thank you

Configuration: Windows Seven on PC and Mac osX 10.4.10 Ipad 2
Camino

    Thank you, but no.

I would like to know if it is possible to replace an eMMC card that is usually soldered with another one (like the one in your link) or with a standard SATA or IDE hard drive.

If you can replace it with a 1TB or 500GB SATA, then you'll be fine.

I thought it was impossible to remove an eMMC (a type of flash memory) because it is soldered onto the laptop.

    Is it possible?

Is the card soldered to the motherboard?
If so, it's better not to touch it for fear of damaging the motherboard.
Do you have the option to go to an authorized HP center and ask them if they can change the eMMC?
