Hello, I will explain my situation to you. I had a large folder containing many subfolders on a USB stick, and in these subfolders, there were PSD, Word, PNG, JPEG, AVI, MP4 files.
My problem is as follows: an hour after unplugging my USB stick and plugging it back in, my folder was first empty, then it turned into a file, and the files that were on my USB stick (that were not in this large folder) are also unreadable.
What should I do? Please, I really need your help. I really do not want to lose all my files...
Thank you in advance, Alexandre

Hello,
Your problem is probably not caused by viruses.
Rather, it's the file system that is damaged or a hardware issue with your USB drive.

Have you checked that your documents, images, and videos on the hard drive are still accessible?
I hope you are not a victim of ransomware.

but given your description, I doubt it's that.
