Internet connection issue via USB Wi-Fi adapter Solved

Question

Hello everyone. I am new here, I hope I haven't chosen the wrong forum... my apologies in advance if that's the case. So, I bought a USB key to connect WiFi to my desktop (Packard Bell running Windows Vista) brand of the key: Startech USB 2.0 802.11b. I installed this key and the installation went well... my computer recognized the key, my key detects the available networks and their signal strength, but when I try to connect to my box, here is the error message that Windows displays (see the photo). Apparently, my settings are not correct on the computer. I tried to go to forums and attempted several manipulations, but nothing works. It’s not my box as it works with a laptop and is not blocked (I contacted my SFR customer service) and I don't know how to modify my computer's network settings!! PLEASE if anyone knows the answer, thank you for telling me the steps to follow, I am desperate. Thank you in advance

Go to start Control Panel Programs and Features Uninstall Realtek RTL8192EU wireless..., if present. Go to Device Manager Network adapters Right-click on --> Realtek RTL8192EU.... Uninstall Restart the pc. Return to Device Manager See what happens in network adapters. Human beings are at their best when things are at their worst.
