AFPA IT Operations Technician Training Tests

Hello,

In two months, I'm taking the assessment tests for the "computer operations technician" training at AFPA (level III).

Like many people, I contacted the AFPA phone platform for more information but to no avail.

All I know is that there will be psychotechnical tests and math at the Bac level (among other things?). I got mine 24 years ago in stream B and I have abyssal gaps in this area. I know this all too well, as I am currently a supervisor in a middle school, helping with homework, and I can barely keep up with the 5th-grade level!

This training means a lot to me, but I have little time to prepare.
I've read discussions on this forum, but most posts date back to 2007 or 2009 or concern a training different from mine.

Does anyone have any precise information on the content of the assessment tests for this training or advice on how to try to catch up in such a short time?

I know there are many test books available, and I would like to find the one most suited for the AFPA assessment tests and this training.

To summarize, I'm open to any help.

Thank you very much in advance for your responses...

If this post can help, I took the tests for this training.

    They lasted a good afternoon.
First, I met with an occupational psychologist to whom I presented my CV and my cover letter.
I only had 20 little minutes to present my background, my motivation, and all the steps that led me to apply.

Then I took 4 tests in the form of multiple-choice questions: math, logic, computer knowledge, and English.
For math and English, it's really basic, level 6th - 5th grade (and I'm not particularly good at math).
For logic, there are figures (for example, there are 4 figures, what is the 5th). I also had a series of questions about the famous switch and valve problems. I had studied a big book of psychotechnical tests, but it didn't help me much.
As for computer knowledge, it's the same, really basic (sorry but I don't remember the questions...)

To summarize, no traps. They require a high school level for this training with a final outcome of a bac+2 level, and for the tests, you need to have a 5th-grade level for math and English.

I don't know if the psychologist was rushed or if this time frame is the same in all AFPA centers, but I regret that out of 4 hours, I was only able to talk about my project for 20 minutes. I find it terribly short to summarize a professional project, so one piece of advice: TAKE CARE OF YOUR CV AND YOUR COVER LETTER! The tests are mainly to see if you have basic knowledge.

The tests have been validated; I am now on the waiting list to see if there is a place available for the session I applied for.

    Hello.

    1) You should check out https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/s/etudes-formation-high-tech-16/test+afpa

    2) "tips to try to catch up in such a short time" :
dive into the math books from the last two years of high school, preferably with a private tutor from a high school (but 2 months will be tight!).

    3) "I know there are a lot of test books, I would like to find the one most suited to the AFPA evaluation tests and this training" :
    There aren't any.
Retirement is nice! Especially in the Antilles... :-)

    Hello,

    Thank you for your response.
Regarding maths, I’m not expecting too much; I’m not going to work miracles in two months.
I also realize that there isn’t ONE book about the AFPA tests. I’m simply looking for more specific information about the tests to better target my preparation, which areas to focus on in maths, what types of tests are given during the evaluation, etc., etc.
