My Java has been using 80% of my processor for 2 days.

Hello,

So here it is, for 2 days now my Java has been buggy, when I look in the task manager it takes 80% of my processor's power on a simple game like Pokémon. Yesterday I could play League of Legends normally, but I couldn't launch it alongside Pokémon due to an issue with Java. Since my friend could do it, I figured I should update Java, which I did, and since then it's worse; now when I play LoL I run at 5 fps instead of 100. So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java, but when I go to the Java site to test my Java version it tells me: Java is disabled or not installed. It is indeed installed, and it's properly activated in the Java Control Panel. However, in the module manager, plugins tab, of Firefox, I don’t see any Java Platform.

So I'm looking for a solution so it doesn't take up 80% or even 99% of my processor and I can play LoL again.

Thank you.

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 41.0

Hello,

If you have a 64-bit Windows:
Download and install both offline Java versions.
Look here --> here
In the window
Check --> Accept license
For 32 bits --> jre-8u121-windows-i586.exe (Windows x86 Offline)
For 64 bits --> jre-8u121-windows-x64.exe (Windows x64)

Thank you for your response. I have already tried the offline installation (which worked because all the other methods didn't work, I received error 1603), but even after that, the Java Checker does not recognize it.
