Hello,

I received a 64 GB USB drive yesterday, on which I copied my school files, which were about 6 GB, without any issues.
Then I wanted to copy 200 music tracks onto it, and in the middle of the copy, an error message appeared that I can't remember, but one of the files to be copied had a problem, and I had to choose to ignore or stop, etc. I clicked on continue but the copy didn't proceed, so I clicked on cancel. About a hundred files were on my USB drive, and the rest didn't get copied. It's not a big deal, except that since then, I can't copy anything onto my USB drive. I deleted the entire "music" folder, and I tried to copy a single photo onto my drive, and here’s what it shows me for several minutes: https://www.zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=17%2F08%2F2n1w.jpg and then finally https://www.zupimages.net/
I restarted my computer and reconnected my drive, etc., with no results...

Thank you in advance if you can help me!

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 56.0.2924.87

Hello,
Do you still have your school files on your PC???
If not, copy the files from your USB drive to your PC (if you can), otherwise you will need to use recovery software.
Otherwise, if your school files are still on your PC, please feel free to right-click the USB drive and then choose "format" (leave the "quick" box checked) > then format
Next, if you want to copy your music to the USB drive, do it by taking for example 20 songs... if that works, take the next 20 and so on.
If a music file is corrupted, there will come a time when the problem will resurface... note the titles ... reformat the drive... try copying the group of songs where the issue occurred again.
From there, you need to copy the songs from that group one by one and you will definitely find the song that is causing the problem.. delete it completely.
After that, reformat your USB stick and then try to copy your music all at once this time.
In fact, it only takes ONE single corrupted file to cause a copy error.
Apart from that... ALWAYS KEEP A BACKUP OF YOUR IMPORTANT FILES .. on the PC and a copy on a USB drive or external hard drive
Have a great day

Don't forget to mark your post as "resolved" once the issue is fixed. Thank you

Thank you very much for your quick response. It was exactly my goal to always have a backup of my important files, and since my computer is getting old (almost 4 and a half years ^^) I opted for the USB stick, so yes, I still have the files on it! :)
I will try to reformat my USB stick to see if that changes anything, thank you. And I won't be caught wanting to copy music onto it again! I'm a bit on edge...
