Hello,

how are you? I'm doing okay...
I have a problem (of course, if I'm posting here, you might say): I wanted to install software that would allow me to remove protections from PDF documents (bank statements, you know, nothing wrong, I just wanted to be able to add annotations for free). And now I'm stuck with an old program that has not fulfilled its purpose, for one, and that I can't uninstall anymore, for two.

Can someone help me?

    Hello.

    Personally, I would be in favor of reinstalling it on top.

    Why? It places the files back, including the uninstallation file.

    Otherwise, I’ve been through this before. The uninstallation goes wrong.

    In that case, I uninstall it with Revo Uninstaller: https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/19405-revo-uninstaller/

    From there, Revo Uninstaller will first launch the basic uninstallation of the software in question.

    Let’s suppose (as in my case) that the uninstallation fails too...
    => No worries: continue with Revo Uninstaller.
    => You can then, even if the basic uninstallation didn’t work, remove the traces: the registry and the files & folders...

    Which is equivalent to a manual uninstallation...

      I'm not sure I fully understood (not very tech-savvy, to be honest). Do I need to try to uninstall it with Revo (translation: yet another software to install, which will at least be uninstallable later?) and do some manual tinkering afterward (in which case, I would need you to tell me what to do, because I have no idea otherwise... :s)
      Or do I need to test reinstalling a duplicate of that Wondershare thing?

      What should I start with?

    I told you that the procedure given is equivalent to a manual uninstallation, using Revo Uninstaller..

      my apologies, everything wasn't clear enough. I promise, I can read, I just have a hard time understanding.
      I tried with Revo Uninstaller, I targeted the software, it created the restore point, then... the same error message, I can't uninstall Wondershare.
      So, I still tried the last step, but it seems like it didn't work...

    And yet... you misread what I wrote to you... 

    Let's assume (as in my case) that the uninstallation fails as well...
    => Don't worry: continue with RevoUninstaller.
    => You can then, even if the initial uninstallation didn't work, remove the traces: the registry and the files & folders...


    Basically, even if it fails, you can continue with Revo and clean up the traces...

    That way, even if the initial uninstallation fails, it will still be removed from your PC. ;-)

    I'll make you a video to show how to do it.

    However, in the video, I say it is uninstalled, but the name is still visible in the list.

    It's just a stubborn registry entry.
    Still using Revo, right-click on your program, and do: Open registry key

    You can then delete the key.
    It will no longer appear :)

    PS: 
    I promise, I can read, I just have trouble understanding.

      Sorry, I spoke too quickly, it actually found a bunch of stuff... I do "select all" and "delete" then "next"? There are items appearing in red, I imagine those are things we shouldn't touch, right?

      I insist on saying that I read it, but didn't understand, it's not quite the same.

      I preferred the tone in the video xD There, it was really well-guided, better than the version for dummies. Thanks again ^^

      I did exactly the same thing, and it went down the same way, except at the end, there was no feedback like yours, and I still have the shortcut for the other crap on the desktop. I'll restart a scan otherwise.

      By the way, we never hit "delete," I don't really understand how it gets removed, then...
