Realtek High Definition Audio not working Solved/Closed

Hello,

I reformatted my MSI Ghost GS60 2PE a few days ago and reinstalled all the drivers correctly. However, I have a notable issue with the sound which is of catastrophic quality. I never had this problem before. The sound from the speakers is weak and very poor quality.

I re-downloaded and reinstalled the same Realtek Audio High Definition drivers offered on MSI's website for this PC model, as well as the Realtek Card Reader. But that didn't resolve the issue. I then tried completely uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling those from Realtek's official site. But the same issue persists. I've repeated the process several times, trying different sources of drivers (more or less recent), but still the same problem.

In the device manager, the "Speakers" are showing "Realtek Audio High Definition" for the controller. However, it also states that another device, Realtek Digital Output, is disconnected. I can't connect it. The Realtek panel has completely disappeared.

I really don't know what to do anymore.

Does anyone have a lead for me?

I carried out the task you suggested; however, even after uninstalling the driver from the device manager, it persists upon startup.

I am directly notified that "the High Definition Audio device has been installed" even though I haven't requested anything. I have tried several times in vain.
I still tried to install the setup you shared over it, but unfortunately, it did not resolve the issue.

In my controller, I have two items:
- NVIDIA Audio Virtual Services (Wave Extensible) (WDM)
- High Definition Audio Device

Choose --> extract all

Go to the device manager
Right-click on the --> High Definition Audio Device
Update driver
Search for a driver on my computer
Browse
Select the folder of the unzipped driver --> 64 bit_....
OK, next
Restart

When I choose this path, I am notified that "the best driver is already installed for the device."

But overall, all these drivers are supposed to be correct; before my reformatting, I had an earlier version and it worked fine. And this same version no longer worked after the reformatting. I'm starting to think that the problem comes from elsewhere...

It's an official license, Windows 7 Professional.

I truly believe that the issue doesn't come directly from the Realtek drivers, but rather from the laptop speakers or my sound card. The sound is of good quality when I plug in headphones or other speakers.

The problem can't be hardware-related because before the reinstallation, the built-in speakers worked well. Something must have gone wrong during the reformatting...
