Hello,

Could you please tell me how to sum the hours?

I have a row of hours worked, each cell contains a duration, 4h30, 2h00, 3h20, 2h45 etc...

How can I get the total hours at the end of the row?

Thank you in advance.

Hello

Before starting to fill in the cells, you need to set the format of these cells to "Duration" instead of date and time.

Then enter the value in the following format for
for example 10 hours 42 minutes: 10:42:00 (you also enter the seconds, even if you decide not to display them)

example:

Always indicate your system configuration completely - exact computer model, exact OS version.

Hello

When it comes to Excel: hours should be formatted as 08:40 and not 8H40.
Furthermore, if the total hours exceed 24 hours, Excel will not calculate the total correctly; you need to format the sum cell in a specific format.

Hello,

I'm in Numbers, and when I was experimenting the other day to discover the software, I only filled in two or three cells, and the hours noted 14:30 and 24:15 automatically summed up to 28:45. I thought, great, I won't have to touch anything.

But today, now that I have the correct data, I want to create my table, and it's not working; I haven't changed anything.

And my total is going to exceed 24 hours.
