Hissing in the speaker instead of sound

Hello,

I have a Pioneer DJ-SB2 controller that worked perfectly with the speakers I was using a few days ago. Since then, I've been trying to get it to work (as I am traveling) with a small portable Sony SRS-X11 speaker, but the only sound coming from it is a horrible hiss (while the sound coming from the headphones plugged into the controller is perfectly normal)...

Can the problem be resolved or is it simply related to the lack of power from the speaker that can't handle what is coming from the controller?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi,

So I had the same kind of problem with an amplifier.
Generally (not sure) it's a capacitor, transformer, or a relay... that might have blown

Be careful, this is just a possibility

Thank you very much for your response! The thing is, when I connect my phone to the speaker it works perfectly, that's why I think it might not support the audio format coming from the controller... If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this or can help me use my computer's speakers directly as speakers, I’m all ears!

    Thanks in advance
