Hello,

my Samsung soundbar is connected to my Samsung television via optical fiber. No matter what I'm watching, and regardless of the mode selected on the soundbar, I'm experiencing this issue:
- the sound is very well amplified (the soundbar shows "Digi.2"), but quite often the sound cuts out and becomes weak, and my soundbar displays "PCM" instead.
Can someone tell me why this happens?

Thank you for your replies.

Best regards,

    Hello,
Dust the optical sockets of the TV and the soundbar with a small vacuum cleaner; if there's no effect, change the cable.
Get a quality cable with a good sheath because optical fiber is very fragile, for example:

    Hello
You can choose (see instructions on page 14)
according to which mode the sound is interpreted
    PCM (Pulse code modulation)
    DOLBY
    DTS (Digital Theater System)
DiGi. 2 I suppose this indicates that you are using the optical input IN2
PGM that you have chosen the PGM mode

As for the fluctuating sound level, regardless of the advice given by Andy31200, there is a S.Vol (Smart volume) function which aims to stabilize the level in case of sudden variation.. (see instructions on page 16)

Thank you very much for this information. I will look into it right away, and I would like to wish you, albeit a little in advance, a happy and joyful end-of-year celebration, to finish 2016 beautifully, and to start 2017 under better auspices.

      Best regards,

      Sincerely,
