My Samsung soundbar is not working

Hello, I just bought a SAMSUNG HW-430 soundbar; I want to connect it to my PANASONIC TX-55DS500E television; I made both connections either through the aux in or through the digital audio port (I was advised the second option); each time, I get the following response "hello", then "tv", then "tv sound connect", then "search" and that's it; it searches for hours without any result; I'm not a great technician, but I’ve had several soundbars and I've never had a problem; here I admit I'm at a loss; should I make adjustments in my TV settings? Which ones? Before returning the soundbar to the store, maybe I can get an answer to my problem? Thank you in advance.

    I forgot to mention that I made the same tests on a new SAMSUNG LED TV, and that I obtained the same results as with my Panasonic TV; it seems important to specify that.

      I solved the problem; I simply forgot to activate the input mode (digital optical input) D.IN on the remote control of my soundbar; now it works fine; a mistake worthy of an ignorant like me; thank you.
