Can you change the motherboard without reinstalling Windows?

Hello,
I have a desktop PC that I assembled myself and I would like to know if I can replace my current motherboard with another one from the same brand but larger so that I can add more peripherals.
And if I change the motherboard, do I need to reinstall Windows if I put the same hard drive with Windows on it on the new motherboard?

    Yes, you can change the motherboard and keep the operating system, because it is located on the hard drive. However, be careful to choose a motherboard that is compatible with your other components, power supply, CPU, GPU, etc...

      However, be careful to uninstall the drivers from the old motherboard before proceeding.
      This includes the chipset drivers, sound card (usually integrated), and especially the LAN (ethernet, network card), as the latter is very important.
      If you don't do this first, there may be issues when booting with the new motherboard.
      Often, Windows activation may be lost, but it will be revalidated as soon as you are connected to the internet.
      And be careful if it's Win10.... that's a bit more delicate. You need to create a Microsoft account first; otherwise, the digital license will be lost.

        Oh yes, I hadn't thought about the drivers. Use https://www.driverscloud.com/fr/demarrer which can detect missing drivers and install compatible ones; you can also update outdated drivers.
