Hello,
Here are the characteristics of my PC:
AMD ATHLON (tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+, 2.51 GHz, 2 GB RAM;
motherboard: "Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe", with a WIFI: Realtek RTL8187 Wireless 802.11b 54 Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter;
a 320 GB hard drive (Seagate in SATA).
My goal: to install an additional PC on my Livebox.
Here, I followed the instructions below step by step: (which I retrieved from a message from one of you):
for a Livebox Wi-Fi connection I have:
-the Livebox
-the WEP key (provided with the box)
-a Wi-Fi card (installed on my motherboard "ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe")
I want to connect my second PC to my Livebox:
-On this second PC, I do: open network connection, wireless network connection, right-click properties, general, click once on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and go to properties.
once in properties, I check use the following IP address:
-IP address: 192.168.1.3
-subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
-default gateway: 192.168.1.1 that's the IP of my Livebox!
-preferred DNS server: 192.168.1.1 again the IP of the box
for the DNS server address, leave it blank. click OK twice
now: I right-click on wireless network connection, then I display the available wireless networks; I see my Livebox network.
on my Livebox, I activate the Wi-Fi network by pressing the appropriate button (a light on the box flashes).
I return to my PC click connect, enter the WEP key, click OK and it's done!!!
UNFORTUNATELY!!
When I go to the Orange Internet Manager/Manage the Livebox/Wireless Network/Edit MAC filter list, I get the following message next to my MAC address: "not available".
HOWEVER, everything indicates that I am well connected to the Livebox, BUT I cannot connect to the Internet.
In fact, the Livebox does not recognize, I believe, the MAC address of my PC.
Can you please help me?
Best regards,
Twisty

You go to http://192.168.1.1 in wireless network and you disable MAC address filtering, that way there will be no more problems...

Thank you for replying, but I went to this site to disable the Mac filters; I still can't connect to the internet. Moreover, I can no longer access this address due to this message:
Connection timed out
The server at address 192.168.1.1 is taking too long to respond.
And I've been trying to connect for over 10 hours now.
However, I have a question: I have two network connections on my graphics card; I disconnected them, but why do I still have this type of connections?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
