Excel: Unable to remove the warning message Solved

Question

Hello I have a MAC Sierra with Excel 2011 for MAC, and whenever I open an Excel file, there is always a yellow security warning just below the ribbons that cannot be removed, and we do not know the reason for it. There is nothing regarding this particular warning in the preferences. It’s honestly annoying. I just switched from PC to Mac, and it’s hell with Excel MAC and many other things. Desperate! Do you have a solution? Thank you very much.

What does the message text say? Is the problem occurring with a particular document or with any document, including one that you create from a blank sheet? -- Hello at home! Bernard

I think I have found the reason for this message "Security warning: data connections have been disabled. In fact, when you import files in CSV (or maybe another type), Excel for MAC creates a link for a potential automatic update from the same source, which can suddenly be neutralized, meaning that after clicking the finish button, a new small window opens to confirm the import. You just need, before validating, to click on properties and there uncheck "save the query definition." From then on, there are no more problems afterwards. Thanks.

OK. It is therefore not just a question of opening any workbook, but of a workbook containing a request to import external data (menu "Data"). This is indeed somewhat specific. Problem solved, then. ;-) -- Hello to you! Bernard
