Hello,

While trying to see if my Hotmail account was sufficiently protected and pretending that I no longer knew my password, I reached the stage where I am asked for a recovery code.

Could you please tell me how to obtain a recovery code from my Hotmail account?

    Did you provide your own box for recovery, not a backup email?

      I provided my own box for collection.

      @Charlotte_DuboisWell, you need to... you should create a backup box (that you will check regularly, otherwise it will be deleted) and on which Hotmail will send you the recovery codes.
