Accessing the BIOS and menu on HP Pavilion PC

Hello,
My PC no longer recognizes an external hard drive. Among the procedures, it is advised to check in the BIOS if it is recognized. I access the BIOS but I cannot find the Advance BIOS features, nor Boot or startup, and even less Boot device priority or boot peripherals.

    Hi,

    If it's an external hard drive, plug it into another PC.
    If it's not recognized there either, the problem is not with your PC but indeed with the drive.

    Has it dropped?

      Thank you for this response. I did indeed connect it to another PC. Same fight: not recognized.
      I also think it's the external drive that is causing the problem, though I don't know the reasons. That said, my question about accessing the BIOS apps still stands.

        To access the BIOS, simply tap the F2 or DELETE key on the keyboard during the PC startup, before Windows launches.
